Hicks & Mann, Inc. in Grant County, Kentucky is seeking a licensed land surveyor to lead field teams and seal plats and surveys. You will plan the day, run field work, and coordinate with the engineering side on joint projects.
Responsibilities include boundary retracement, subdivision platting, ALTA surveys, and construction staking, with year-round field work and outdoor duties; a valid driver’s license is required, and W-2 employment with paid time off is provided.
Hicks & Mann holds a Kentucky certificate of authorization for land surveying and has been doing this work in Grant County and the five counties around it since 1976. The firm did the county’s Enhanced 911 addressing system in 1992, one of the first countywide addressing systems in Kentucky, and it still holds the records behind it. The survey side is steady work with a deep archive underneath it.
You would seal plats and boundary surveys, plan and run the field work, and hand off to the engineering side on the projects that need both. Most weeks mix field work with courthouse research, calculation and drafting.
Pay depends on licensure and experience and we will put a number on the table on the first call rather than making you guess. Field vehicle and survey equipment provided. This is a W-2 position with paid time off.
Hicks & Mann, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. Hiring decisions are made on qualifications, experience and the needs of the work, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal or Kentucky law.
