This role involves providing medical coding consulting services, reviewing records, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve coding practices. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of coding experience and relevant certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or similar.

Responsibilities include:

1. Review medical records and assign accurate codes (CPT, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS).
2. Conduct data quality reviews to ensure compliance with coding guidelines.
3. Communicate professionally with team members and healthcare staff.
4. Identify documentation and coding improvement opportunities.
5. Use VPN for remote work and adhere to compliance policies.
6. Maintain professional development through continuing education and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of coding experience.
• Certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, etc.
• Strong communication skills and experience with encoding software.
