Howmet Dover Casting is a supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries. Howmet Dover Alloy supplies vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to aerospace, gas turbine, medical, and other high-technology industrial markets.

We are currently looking for a Wax Machine Operator to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this position will be Midnight Shift (Sunday Night - Thursday Night, 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.). Training on Day shift, M-F, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., may last several months.

Starting hourly rate: $23.23. After 12 months: $25.79. The position will receive an hourly shift premium while assigned to an off-shift.

Position Overview

The wax machine operator is responsible for injecting wax patterns with the wax department.

Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing EHS policies and values.
• Comply with all EHS regulations.
• Wear required PPE.
• Report all job-related illnesses and injuries.
• Report safety, health, and environmental concerns.
• Attend EHS training.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate automatic fixed cycle, power injection machines to inject wax or plastic patterns.
• Prepare patterns for inspection.
• Perform visual inspection of injected patterns.
• Deflash solid patterns at press.

Interpersonal Responsibilities

Interactions are primarily internal with engineering, quality, and wax department members.

Physical Demands & Equipment Used

• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Standing for up to 8 hours.
