Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is seeking a plant operator for the Cressona, PA area. The role involves safely running extrusion equipment, reading orders, and maintaining productivity on a night shift with a rotating schedule. Training will prepare you to progress toward Extruder A responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in manufacturing or quality inspection, basic math skills, and a team-focused mindset. This position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience; prior manufacturing and/or quality inspection experience preferred.
• Willingness to train and advance to Extruder A (quality inspecting responsibilities). Training provided.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.
• Must be able to work long hours in seasonal temperatures.
• Must follow all work and safety instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and eagerness to grow.
• Ability to follow detailed directions.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate assigned equipment or machine.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material or equipment needs.
• Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities.
• Lift and stack products.
• Maintains efficiency standards set for assigned area.
• Maintains good housekeeping of work areas.
• Accurately record numbers or lengths of units handled or moved.

Starting Rate of pay: $25.17- $30.89/hr.

Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift, 6pm-6am on an EOWEO/ 2-2-3 rotation. (You may be trained on dayshift- but will go to nightshift after training.)

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
