Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in Elkhart, Indiana, is hiring for a permanent Packing role on the night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM). Starting pay is $20.00/hour, with a $2.00/hour shift premium for eligible shifts.

No formal education is required, and English communication skills are essential. You will process, pack, and prepare aluminum extrusions, operate stretching equipment, load logs, inspect quality, and work with the Press, Saw and Packing teams to meet production goals while following safety procedures

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is an asset
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Process, pack, band, tag and/or prepare aluminum extrusions according to customer specifications and production requirements
• Operate stretching equipment according to order specifications
• Load aluminum logs using a crane or Combi-Lift
• Use measurement tools and visual inspection to verify product quality and identify damage
• Work closely with Press, Saw and Packing team members to meet productivity and production goals
• Follow work instructions, safety procedures and PPE requirements

Starting Rate of Pay:

$20.00/hour

Shifts Available and Hours:

Night Shift
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Shift Premium:

What you will be doing

• Process, pack, band, tag and/or prepare aluminum extrusions according to customer specifications and production requirements

• Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
• Ability to work a full 12-hour shift
• Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and repetitive movements
