Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Cressona, PA, is hiring for a permanent production role on the night shift. You will operate extrusion-related equipment, read work orders and plans, and ensure accurate measurement and documentation of output.

Requirements include at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training to advance to Extruder A is provided. Shift premium applies.

Qualifications

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience; manufacturing/quality inspection preferred.
• Willing to train and advance to Extruder A; training provided.
• Basic math skills (add/sub/multiply/divide) required.
• Able to work long hours in seasonal temperatures; follow safety instructions.

Starting Rate of pay: $25.17- $30.89/hr.

Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift, 6pm-6am on an EOWEO/ 2-2-3 rotation. (You may be trained on dayshift- but will go to nightshift after training.)

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

What you will be doing

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

• No high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience required; prior manufacturing experience and/or quality inspection experience preferred.
• Must be willing to train and advance to Extruder A (quality inspecting responsibilities); training provided.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.
• Must be able to work long hours in seasonal temperatures.
• Must follow all work and safety instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and eagerness to grow.
• Ability to follow detailed directions.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• No prior work-related experience required; manufacturing or mobile equipment operation (e.g., forklift, Combi) experience is helpful.
• Must be able to use a calculator and read a tape measure.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
