Job description

Job Title : Production Worker (must be available to work various shifts)

Summary : The overall responsibility is to perform tasks associated with supporting paper machine operators and pulp process operators. Employees will be trained for the following positions: Third Hand, 1st Beater Helper, Warehouse, and Tape Operator (if needed). Once trained, employees will receive the move-up rates for these jobs. Responsible for following all environmental, health, and safety rules.

Starting Pay : $19.21 - $19.96 per hour

Shift Differential : 2nd Shift additional $0.75/hour, 3rd Shift additional $1.00/hour

Experience and Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Forklift experience helpful
• Manufacturing experience helpful
• Must be available to work various shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays when needed
• Must pass physical, drug screen, and background check

Essential Functions of the Job :

• Work safely after receiving extensive safety training in OSHA-required subjects related to manufacturing
• Clean and hose up stock spills
• Wind up hoses after use
• Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the mill and warehouse
• Operate the baler safely as needed
• Operate a forklift to move bales, dyes, and chemicals as needed
• Complete daily checklist for lift trucks
• Operate the warehouse elevator
• Operate the core cutter and notcher
• Work independently without constant supervision
• Lock out equipment per instructions and follow confined space procedures
• Assist other workers and perform duties as directed by the supervisor
