Job summary

Amcor is hiring for an overnight line operator in Easthampton, MA. You will feed products to conveyors or machines, perform visual quality checks, and package finished goods with accuracy. The role involves stacking and shipping readiness, maintaining materials, and assisting with setups and changes to equipment.

The position operates 7PM–7AM on a 12-hour rotating shift. Starting pay is $19.62/hr with a typical range of $17–$24/hr, depending on experience and skills.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have mechanical ability.
• Ability to perform setups and changeovers on manufacturing equipment.
• Able to visually inspect product for defects and quality.
• Willingness to support machine technicians and other line tasks.

Responsibilities

• Feed product onto conveyors or machines and discard defects.
• Unload finished product and inspect for quality per specs.
• Stack cartons and maintain correct counts for shipping.
• Maintain supply of corrugate and perform boxmaking as needed.
• Assist with machine changeovers and tooling as required.
• Perform continual visual quality checks and report issues.

Job Description

• Feed product on to the conveyor or directly into the machine discarding any defective pieces.
• Unload finished product from the conveyor or machine cycle, visually inspecting for any obvious quality defects according to specifications and pack quality product in carton or tray.
• Stack cartons, boxes or trays on skid for shipping and maintain correct product count.
• Maintain adequate supply of corrugate on the line, make boxes and trays as required
• Ability to do setups and changeovers to manufacturing equipment in accordance with customer specifications.
• Provide assistance to Machine Technicians on various processes as needed Cleaning ink stations, ink wells, coating pans, screens, ink knives and squeegees Wiping blankets Clearing minor jams Assistance on C/O with tooling
• Performs continual visual inspections of product, notifying appropriate team member of quality defects or machine malfunctions.
• Candidate should have mechanical ability.

This is a 7PM - 7AM overnight position that follows a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $19.62/hr.; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $17 and $24/hr.
