Job summary

Mars in Illinois seeks a Production Coordinator to accelerate people capability and ensure smooth shift operations. You will train operators, lead daily and 90‑day plans, and act as a Production Leader when needed, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to brand standards.

Responsibilities include training across shifts, guiding autonomous maintenance practices, and driving loss elimination by analyzing data and implementing improvements.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and manage operations of all production equipment across multiple areas.
• Experience to become a recognized Autonomous Maintenance Coach (AM) within the AM Pillar.
• Proven leadership and change-management skills with a track record of mentoring others.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint for training) and SAP.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Create daily/weekly production plans with the Operations Leader and drive flawless execution.
• Train and develop operators to build capability and problem-solving skills across shifts.
• Act as Production Leader in their absence to demonstrate leadership behaviors.
• Provide AM and DMS guidance, including CIL, Centerlines, Abnormality Handling and 5S.
• Identify losses and opportunities to improve KPIs like productivity and quality.
