Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates is seeking a Production Coordinator to plan daily/weekly production with the Production Leader and mentor associates to deliver plans. The role functions across shifts to ensure smooth operation and acts as a flexible resource when needed.

You will drive loss elimination by analyzing data, build capability, and lead problem solving, while maintaining adherence to defined procedures.

Qualifications

Associate degree in a technical field with 2 years’ manufacturing experience or 5+ years with progressive responsibility.
Certified Trainer with demonstrated training delivery.
Experience operating powered industrial vehicles in a warehouse environment.
Strong communication and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with SAP/JDA warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

Create daily and weekly production plan with the Production Leader and support execution.
Build associate capability, problem solving and technical understanding across teams and shifts.
In the absence of the Production Leader, perform the duties of the role with leadership behaviors.
Drive loss elimination of raw ingredients, packaging material, and finished goods by analyzing data and recommending solutions.
Recommend areas of opportunity to improve KPIs such as productivity, quality, safety.
Participate in cycle counts and mentor associates on development and objectives.
Maintain Level 4 Step Up Cards (SUCs).
May relieve associates as needed within assigned areas.
Work independently within established procedures and practices.
