Job summary

Mars is seeking a Production Leader in Illinois to supervise front-line teams and drive safety, quality, and cost improvements. You will guide shift-based operations, ensure adherence to GMP and HACCP, and partner with the 24-hour Area Leadership Team to execute Mars Supply Excellence programs.

The role emphasizes coaching, associate development, and achieving operational targets through effective communication and decision-making on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive safety, quality, and cost objectives.
• Experience with GMP and HACCP concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach production associates on a shift basis.
• Drive safety, quality, and food safety targets in area of responsibility.
• Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (MSE) on the line.
• Coordinate line staffing, material flow, and changeovers.
• Develop training plans and mentor operators for performance and growth.
• Enforce policies, standards, and food safety practices.
