Job summary

Mars in Illinois seeks a Production Coordinator to create and execute daily production plans, train and mentor associates, and ensure smooth shift operations. This role requires leadership on shift, problem solving, and hands-on equipment operation to drive flawless execution.

You will build associate capability, support KPI improvement, and step up to duties in absence of the Production Leader. Strong communication and training skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field with 2 years’ experience or 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Certified Trainer status or ability to obtain certification.
• Operates powered industrial vehicles and trains others.

Responsibilities

• Create daily and weekly production plans with the Production Leader.
• Build associate capability and lead problem-solving across shifts.
• Relieve and lead in the absence of the Production Leader.
• Drive loss elimination of raw ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.
• Identify opportunities to improve KPIs like productivity, quality and safety.
• Mentor associates on self-development and business objectives.
