Job summary

Mars in Chicago, IL is seeking a Production Coordinator to create and execute the daily production plan under the guidance of the Production Leader. You will train, coach and mentor associates to achieve the daily and 90-day plans, and step in as needed to ensure smooth shift operations.

You will lead process improvements, manage KPIs, and support safety and quality while working across shifts. Strong training, communication, and warehouse systems experience are required to drive flawless

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field with 2 years’ experience or 5+ years in manufacturing with progressive responsibility
• Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles and train others
• Strong communication and data analysis skills; proficient in MS Office and SAP/JDA

Responsibilities

• Create daily and weekly production plans with Production Leader
• Develop associate capability and problem-solving across teams
• Relieve Production Leader when needed and demonstrate leadership
• Drive loss elimination of raw materials and finished goods through data analysis and observations
• Recommend KPI improvements to enhance productivity, quality and safety
• Mentor associates on self-development and business objectives
