Job summary

Jabil seeks a leadership-minded professional to direct the Machine Support group, maintain production schedules, and guarantee quality standards across the department. This role includes recruiting, coaching, and developing a high-performing team, and coordinating maintenance and line moves to support manufacturing objectives.

The candidate will drive process improvements, apply SPC, and leverage SMT/Through-hole expertise to optimize design and assembly processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; three years experience in maintenance management.
• Hands-on knowledge of Surface Mount Technologies (SMT) and Thru-hole equipment/gear.
• Experience with process optimization, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and related engineering methods.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and Demand Flow Technology (line balancing).
• Proficiency across chemistry, mechanical, electrical, and industrial disciplines as they relate to SMT and final assembly.

Responsibilities

• Directs the activities of the Machine Support group and ensures production schedules and quality standards are met.
• Leads recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of Process Engineers and Machine Support staff.
• Develops training curricula and mentors tooling staff for excellence and succession planning.
• Manages performance by setting measurable goals and providing coaching and feedback.
• Oversees maintenance programs, line moves, vendor coordination, and implementation of improvements.
