Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leading aerospace engine maker, seeks an Operations Electrical Engineer for the West Palm Beach Engine Center. You will manage test stands calibration programs and resolve electrical hardware/software issues supporting F135, PW1100G, and related APUs.

Great collaboration with Production, Test Engineering, and Software teams is required to meet program needs. This is a 1st shift onsite role with potential occasional overtime, promoting impactful engineering work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with significant engine/test cell background and 8+ years experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years in engine/test cell or equivalent.
• Strong electronics background including analog and digital circuits, troubleshooting of circuit boards, and soldering skills; interpretation of test stand and engine electrical schematics.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Execute troubleshooting on Engine & APU, test systems hardware, and software.
• Calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation (Thermocouples, RTDs, Load Cells, etc.).
• Maintaining and troubleshooting data system hardware, including PCs, operator interfaces, networking, and data acquisition.
• Respond to trouble calls for Test Stand Data System, test cell wiring, PLCs, valves, solenoids and relays.
• Collaborate with Production, Test Engineering, and Software groups on daily operations and Test Process Improvements.
• Occasional off shift coverage may be required.
