Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Production Tech 2 to join the Manufacturing/Operations team. You will work with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure a well finished product and report to the Manufacturing/Operations Supervisor.

You will set up, calibrate and test circuits and mechanical assemblies, read blueprints, and prepare technical reports. The role requires soldering skills and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with a discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training required.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience in testing digital and/or analog systems preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, test and troubleshoot circuits and assemblies.
• Develop test specifications from blueprints and diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems.
• Perform rework on assemblies or systems as needed.
• Soldering skills and possible mechanical aptitude required.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommended solutions.
• Assist in selecting and setting up specialized test equipment.
