Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Rochester, NY is seeking a Production Technician to join the Power Solutions team.

You will partner with Operations for setup and testing of boards, subassemblies and full assemblies, and assist Technical Operations in test development for future MKS products. You will report to the Production Test Supervisor and contribute to a disciplined testing environment while working a 7am–3:30pm schedule with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience and/or military experience in electronics.
• Experience with high voltage.
• Able to work a set schedule: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail in the tasks that you are assigned to complete.
• Self Sufficient.
• Able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for setup and testing of boards, subassemblies and full assemblies.
• Follows test specifications, methods and procedures provided by Technical Operations.
• Troubleshoot routine unit problems.
• Works with the technical operations department on developing future MKS products.
• Reports issues clearly to Technical Operations and assists in problem solving.
