Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Tech 3 to partner with Technical Operations and support Production. You will report to the Equipment Services Manager and contribute to troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and process improvements on the manufacturing floor.

The role requires data collection, inventory control, and collaboration across sites. You will work with Excel, Word, and Outlook to document findings, manage parts and spare inventories, and

Responsibilities

• Support the manufacturing floor.
• Respond to unscheduled equipment issues and perform Preventative Maintenance requirements.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions for validation and troubleshooting functions.
• Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy equipment malfunctions and PM requirements.
• Use manufacturing test, development or diagnostic equipment which may require some software skills.
• Manage lab and critical spare parts inventory at multiple MKS sites.
• Analyze part storage identifying automation and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with shipping and receiving of parts for equipment builds and critical spares supporting the manufacturing floor at multiple MKS sites.
• Assist with production printer management across multiple sites.
• Implement and maintain a PM process for printers on the manufacturing floor.
• Maintain database accuracy and up-to-date records as well as assist in the analyzing of data/records for improvement opportunities.
