Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or related discipline with 8+ years in manufacturing technology, automation and controls.
- Minimum 3 years of engineering leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience across two PTD disciplines (AI/Machine learning, mechatronics, automation, production software) with depth in others.
- Experience leading production software or database development; proficient in one or more languages (Python, C/C++, C#, SQL).
- Knowledge of safety culture and regulatory environments (OSHA, ITAR) and ability to operate in fast-paced, mission-driven settings.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers spanning AI manufacturing systems, mechatronics, automation, and production software.
- Oversee AI-driven manufacturing systems, machine vision, predictive control, anomaly detection, and integrated production equipment.
- Direct automation, controls engineering, PLC programming, robotics, HMI/SCADA, and MES implementations.
- Own production database architecture and data infrastructure for real-time decision making and KPIs.
- Translate requirements into PTD roadmaps, manage projects, and ensure delivery at production scale.
