Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field with 8+ years in manufacturing tech, automation, or related field.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience across two or more PTD disciplines (AI/ML, mechatronics, automation/controls, production software, or data infrastructure).
• Experience leading production software or database development; proficient in Python, C/C++, C#, SQL; familiarity with software lifecycle in industrial context.
• Commitment to safety culture; strong written and verbal communication; able to operate in regulated environments (OSHA/ITAR) in a startup-like setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary PTD team spanning AI manufacturing, mechatronics, automation, production software, and databases.
• Develop and deploy AI-driven manufacturing systems and mechatronics solutions to improve quality, yield and throughput.
• Oversee automation, controls engineering, and production software development ensuring robustness and regulatory compliance (NEC, UL508A, C1D1/C2D1).
• Own production database architecture and data infrastructure for real-time decision making and KPIs.
• Translate program and production requirements into PTD roadmaps and manage cross-functional collaboration to deliver on time and within budget.
