Job summary

Linde is seeking a Production Technician in Ontario, CA, to operate and manage plant equipment safely and efficiently. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous production, respond to incidents, and uphold quality assurance and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include startup/shutdown, monitoring performance, and maintaining documentation while rotating through shifts, including weekends. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• More than three (3+) years in industrial operations, manufacturing, or leadership roles.
• Experience with installation, operation, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Work Permit processes, LOTO procedures, and safe work practices.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing operational needs and business requirements.
• Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other standard software applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate as front-line Production Technician, responding to unplanned events and making technical decisions.
• Coordinate with operators, management, engineering, maintenance, and technical support teams to ensure continuity.
• Perform safe startup, shutdown, and operation of plant equipment and understand production processes.
• Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, standards, QA programs, and audits.
• Support Fill Zone operations including trailer filling, railcar loading/unloading, and QA/documentation.
• Maintain accurate operational records including work orders, quality docs, equipment records, and process data.
• Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with on-call support.
