Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Job Details

• Title: Production Tech / Operator
• Locations: Plainfield and Montgomery, Illinois
• Shift: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Purpose of Role

The Production Operator is responsible for meeting all production goals and ensuring productivity and customer satisfaction through effective production processes.

Essential Functions

• Follow packaging instructions for proper pack out.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and department sanitation.
• Review and complete work orders.
• Assemble boxes and packages.
• Support warehouse, production, and rail yard sanitation.
• Inspect products for contamination.
• Assist with floor loads, restacking, and repacks.
• Operate railcar/container hook-ups and assist with bulk truck loads.
• Participate in recycling programs, including gathering and bailing materials.
• Lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly.
• Operate sit-down forklift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED; 3+ months related experience or training.
• Ability to read work orders, safety rules, and manuals.
• Basic arithmetic and routine correspondence skills.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 55 lbs.
• Use hands for handling objects and controls.
• Reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
• Stand for 8+ hours daily.
• Occasionally move up and down stairs.
