OTTO's Opportunity

Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift

Our Molding Machine Operator 2nd shift position is entry level within the Molding Department, where the candidate learns about all aspects of the injection molding process.

Specifically, the Molding Machine Operator 2nd Shift will:

• Perform basic molding machine setup
• Confirm proper material use as per BOMs
• Handle material drying and loading
• Inspect work to ensure quality
• Perform machine maintenance as required
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Count and stock work items
• Regrind material as needed
• Collect SPC data
• Follow department procedures
• Operate insert molded jobs
• Manage raw materials to prevent contamination
• Maintain cleanliness of raw material storage
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications Needed:

• At least 2 years in a similar role before consideration for Molding Technician Trainee
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance
• Reliable attendance
• Ability to differentiate colors
• Willingness to work nonstandard or extended hours
• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Knowledge of inspection tools

Position Benefits:

• Hourly range: $15.25 - $17.50 plus 10% shift premium, based on experience
• Profit sharing (discretionary, twice yearly)
• Vacation: 5 days after 30 days, 80 hours after 1 year
