Job summary

Baxter in Marion, NC is seeking a Production Technician I (Kiefel) to operate, monitor and maintain a Kiefel machine and perform quality checks on finished bags. You will load supplies, document manufacturing data and ensure safety and quality standards are met on a fast-paced shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years Production Technician or manufacturing experience.
• Must have basic English written and oral communication skills.
• Read and interpret written safety and quality instructions.
• Must perform basic mathematics.
• Able to use calculator and measurement tools (calipers, gauges, rulers).

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust a Kiefel machine via control panel or manual adjustments.
• Load and replenish production supplies to meet production needs.
• Perform scheduled quality checks and disposition product.
• Inspect finished product to ensure quality standards.
• Document information on manufacturing logs or POMS system.
• Identify and address inefficiencies in machine performance.
• Test, inspect, and package Inter-Plant Shipping Orders (IPSO).
• Escalate safety, quality, or mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Learn and apply SOPs and cGMP standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following 6S principles.
