Job summary

the company in Asheville, NC is seeking a Production Technician I for the Kiefel line. You will operate, monitor and maintain a Kiefel machine, perform quality checks and ensure safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will load materials, changeovers, document logs and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding cGMP and 6S principles on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1-2 years Production Technician or manufacturing experience.
• Must have basic English written and oral communication skills.
• Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
• Proficient in calculator usage and measurement tools (calipers, snap gauges, rulers).

Responsibilities

• Operate and adjust a Kiefel machine using HMI controls.
• Load and replenish production supplies per production needs.
• Perform scheduled quality checks and disposition product.
• Inspect finished product to ensure quality standards.
• Execute a machine changeover for material changes.
• Document required information on logs or POMS system.
• Identify and correct or elevate machine inefficiencies.
• Test, inspect and package Inter-Plant Shipping Orders (IPSO).
• Notify supervisor of safety, quality or mechanical issues.
• Follow 6S, SOPs and cGMP in daily operations.
