Baxter is seeking a Production Technician II – Kiefel to operate and maintain packaging machines that help deliver life-saving products. You will perform inspections, execute machine changeovers, and support TPM and 6S in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will receive extensive training from your supervisor and peers, work across shifts, and contribute to timely product releases while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role offers opportunities for growth within Baxter.

Qualifications

• Must have basic English written and oral communication skills to communicate with other team members.
• Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
• Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
• Must be able to understand the complex mechanical and electrical aspects of the Kiefel machine in order to maintain and make the necessary repairs.
• Proficient in how to use measurement tools (Caliper, Microscope, Micrometer, Ruler, Taper Gauge, etc.) as well as basic hand tools.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. 2-3 years of Production Technician or manufacturing experience with duties including preventative maintenance, machine troubleshooting, etc.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain Kiefel machines and inspect finished bags.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as alignment adjustments, replacement of machine parts or belts, cleaning and lubrication while supporting TPM.
• Document completed maintenance activity and follow up work orders in Maximo.
• Load and secure finished product in mobile closets as well as scan containers into GME (inventory system).
• Execute a machine changeover (including main seal die) when necessary.
• Certification must be received to complete associated task.
• Test, inspect and package Inter-Plant Shipping Orders (IPSO).
• Perform and document scheduled cleaning activities.
• Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
• Take a leadership role in sustaining a clean and safe work area using 6S principles including maintaining and securing provided tools.
• Participate on teams that help generate ideas in process improvements to equipment.
• Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs and cGMP.
