Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. Alpena Cement Plant in Alpena, MI is seeking a Housekeeping/Janitorial Services Technician to maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment across operational buildings.

You will perform cleaning tasks in the quarry, raw grind, kiln, electrical building, powerhouse, yard, and shipping areas, adhere to safety protocols, operate cleaning equipment, and support facility standards while promoting a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• Prior industrial or facilities cleaning experience preferred.
• Work in dusty, noisy, hot environments.
• Lift up to 45 lbs.
• Full-time with shift variations and possible overtime.
• Must follow PPE protocols including respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Clean plant facilities by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and pressure washing.
• Remove dust and debris to meet safety standards.
• Empty and sanitize trash/recycling regularly.
• Clean restrooms and break areas in designated buildings.
• Maintain janitorial supply storage and restock as needed.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
• Report maintenance needs or safety hazards to supervisors.
• Follow PPE protocols and safety policies.
• Assist with other facilities tasks as assigned.
• Demonstrate commitment to health and environmental policies.
