Job Summary:

KEMET Electronics, a YAGEO company, is seeking a production technician within the Tantalum Production facility located in Simpsonville, SC. The technician will provide mechanical/electromechanical support for production equipment, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment modifications, and upgrades. This position involves teamwork with engineering, quality, and production departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work primarily 2nd shift with flexibility for other shifts and overtime as needed.
• Experience in a production environment required.
• Ability to work independently according to a production schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Teamwork skills, positive attitude, good work ethic, and sense of urgency.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Experience with PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications:

• 2- or 4-year degree in Mechanical/Electrical field or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Ability to read equipment schematics.
• Ability to identify and correct defects and abnormalities.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Programming skills and line start-up experience are a plus.
