- Report to the Group Lead
- Perform a wide range of manufacturing tasks, including machining parts and making and inspecting sub-assemblies and final assemblies of roller and slide guide products
- Perform work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, productivity and cost improvements
- Follow standardized work procedures and work sequences for each process
- Work with the team to improve standardized processes and methods, identify waste, eliminate waste methodically, and standardize improved processes and methods
- Take direct responsibility for duties within the assigned work area
- Complete working documentation, records and reports as requested
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Proactively and reactively resolve process abnormalities
- Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent mechanical training/aptitude/experience
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to communicate and work well with others in a group environment
- Demonstrated ability to work in cooperation with other team members towards building a sense of teamwork
- Desire to proactively identify and make suggestions for continuous process improvements
- Basic math skills and measurement skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM including some weekend hours
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- 1 to 3 years of experience operating CNC machinery preferred
- Experience in reading blueprints and using applicable measurement tools and gauges such as calipers and micrometers preferred
- Experience deburring parts preferred
- Requires frequent walking or standing up to 85% of the day, up to 12 hours a day
- Requires repetitive hand motion 100% of the time
- Lifting and pushing 45% of the time
- Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. and up to 70 lbs. with assistance
- Hearing and visual acuity are required for this job 100% of the time
- Speaking is required 85% of the time
