Job summary

Jobtailor in Indiana is seeking a seasoned process technology professional to support and improve plant operations. You will analyze capacity, costs, safety, and risk, and prepare justifications and layouts for future production needs.

The role includes equipment procurement, installation coordination, training, start-up, and active participation in product introductions, with emphasis on documentation, SPC, and GD&T. Strong leadership and communication are required.

Qualifications

  • 8-15 years related experience in process technology or manufacturing.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

  • Support current process technology and implement improvements to department and plant operations
  • Analyze existing operations against future requirements for capacity, cost reduction, safety, and risk avoidance
  • Prepare project justifications, recommendations, make-vs-buy analyses, layouts, cost impacts, and schedules
  • Implement processes including equipment procurement, installation coordination, process capability prove-out, training, documentation, work standard measurement, and production start-up
  • Contribute to the product introduction process
  • Review identified production problems and implement solutions
  • Develop, implement, and update documentation and training
  • Develop reports, project briefings, and management presentations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • 8-15 years related experience
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • No work authorization sponsorship is provided
  • Must be able to drive a personal vehicle for company business less than 20% per week and/or travel locally between company locations during the scheduled workday
  • Good communication skills among shop floor, support staff, and plant leadership
  • Ability to lead and execute small teams and projects
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Technical skills and training such as CNC programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), process capability theory and statistical process control (SPC) may be required
