Silgan Closures in Champaign, IL is hiring a Production Team Member to join our on-site team. This entry-level role supports packaging operations, from boxing to labeling, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You’ll work 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule and comprehensive benefits, including health, life, 401k, and paid time off. Training and career development are provided to help you grow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 - 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequently basis.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes, insert bags and apply labels specific to product being packaged.
• Assemble Gaylords, insert bags, and move products to appropriate location in the warehouse.
• Open and dump product into hopper and return carton to production line.
• Ensure cartons and bags are closed properly before moving to carton sealer.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Observe GMP, Food Safety and HACCP Pre-requisite Programs.
