Job summary

Silgan Closures in Champaign, IL is hiring a Production Team Member / Manufacturing Associate to operate on a 12‑hour rotating shift schedule in a climate‑controlled facility. This entry-level role offers weekly pay, overtime optional, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will assemble boxes, labels, and move goods within the warehouse while following GMP, HACCP and safety procedures. The company emphasizes safety, stability and long‑term opportunities for employees.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes, insert bags and apply labels specific to product being packaged.
• Assemble Gaylords, insert bags, and move products to appropriate location in the warehouse.
• Opens and dumps product into hopper and returns carton to production line. Ensure cartons and bags are closed properly before moving to carton sealer. Keep work area clean and organized. Follow all safety procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Assemble boxes, insert bags and apply appropriate labels specific to product being packaged

Follow all safety procedures. Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety and HACCP Pre‑requisite Programs related to activities performed for this position.
