Silgan Closures in Champaign, IL is seeking a Molding Technician / Mold Mechanic to operate, set up, and troubleshoot molding machinery and related equipment.

You will perform preventive maintenance, ensure quality and safety standards are met, and collaborate with production and maintenance teams to maximize uptime. We offer a competitive pay rate, comprehensive benefits, and a 2-2-3 schedule with every other weekend off, plus overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience as a molding technician, mold mechanic, or related maintenance role.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, process, and troubleshoot molding machinery and auxiliary equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule to maximize uptime and product quality
• Ensure parts meet all quality and safety requirements
• Monitor and maintain chiller and production system performance
• Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and management teams
• Maintain accurate documentation according to GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety standards
• Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and teamwork

Molding Technician / Mold Mechanic – Manufacturing | Silgan Closures | Champaign, IL

• Pay range $29.21 - $32.32 per hour
• Schedule: 2-2-3 with every other weekend off - Friday - Sunday
• Hours: 12-hour 5:45am - 6:00pm
