Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Bedford Park, IL is hiring a Production Team Member for 2nd/3rd shift. The starting pay is $23.28 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and eligibility beginning day one. Responsibilities include safe operation, quality inspections, and learning essential skills on–the–job.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication, the ability to lift >50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work up to six days per week with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work safely, comply with all safety rules.
• Inspect. Identify, and correct quality concerns.
• Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16" measurement, do basic math, and some computer skills).
• Ability to learn and apply job related skills.

What You Need To Succeed

• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to lift, push/pull >50lbs; navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel for 8 or more hours.
• Ability to work a standard 8 hour shift up to six days a week with the flexibility of working over-time during the week to cover open positions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The starting rate is $23.28 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
