Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking Production Team Members in Battle Creek, MI, to support a 3-shift operation with a starting pay of $21.55 per hour. Responsibilities include stacking product, quality checks, material setup, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Training is provided; safety and reliability are emphasized in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will show a commitment to safe work practices, adaptability to different shifts, and a desire to advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment and follow directions.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure, basic math, and computer skills.
• Ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs and stand throughout shift.
• Must be willing to work daily overtime, weekends, and multiple shifts.
• Military training or Technical School preferred.

Production Team Members

• We are a 3-shift facility:

1st Shift: 5:45 am – 2:00 pm

2nd Shift: 1:45 pm – 10:00 pm

3rd Shift: 9:45 pm – 6:00 am

We do not have first shift positions available currently.

The Opportunity

Starting Pay: $21.55/hr

Primary Duties Includes

Safely performing a wide range of tasks that includes stacking product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safe, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery and have a desire to advance within the company.

What You Need To Succeed

• Manufacturing experience (preferred) however not required - full training provided.
• Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment, follow specific direction, operate power hand tools, and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure, basic math, and computer skills.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to lift, push or pull 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
• Required to work daily overtime, weekend work and various shifts depending on position.
• Military training and or Technical School preferred.
