Job description

Your Opportunity as Team Leader

Location: Arkadelphia, AR

Work Arrangements: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3 pm, 3 pm to 11 pm, 11 am to 7 am and some Saturdays

In this role you will:

  • Coordinates staffing and overtime activities on shift for the team and upcoming shifts. Manages the day ensuring team has clear shift plans at least 24 hours prior to new shift. Follows through on shift plan to ensure key work tasks are accomplished before the end of shift. Serves as resource to flow to the work when needed.
  • Responsible and accountable for all team results (Safety, Quality, Sanitation, Delivery, Reliability, Overtime, Training, etc.)
  • Ensures the team is achieving the desired short-term goals. Maintains team scorecards for all aspects of responsibility.
  • Ensures team is operating based on established documented SOP's and manufacturing standards. Team Leader is expected to be qualified on Fryer, Glaze/Enrober, Bagger, and Material Handler job functions. This includes but is not limited to machine operations and sanitation of line equipment
  • Communicates activities and issues across department boundaries. Works with Business to resolve shift issues such as production accounting, quality/reliability issues, production planning and schedule changes.
  • Seeks out and uses department and plant resources on Operations Excellence systems, such as PM, FI, or AM. Coaches team on using root cause analysis tools to resolve operational and technical problems.
  • Resolves tough interpersonal conflicts between teams and individuals. Facilitates goal setting and trains groups on effective communication.
  • Uses accountability model to improve an individual's performance.
  • Ensures each individual has a clear training plan and is making satisfactory progress towards the plan. Coaches team members on performance.
  • Assesses team results weekly and monthly. Develops a plan to improve outages. Works directly with Supervisors and Area Leaders to improve results areas.
  • Develops savings projects to improve department losses and works with key resources to drive improvements. Coaches other team members to reduce losses.
  • Serves as a resource to the department on base information systems such as Proficy, EAM and IMS.
  • Provides effective feedback and develops work plans that drive the business and build individuals skills.
  • Leads effective team meetings. Ensures key information is discussed. Addresses and resolves team conflicts in a group setting.

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years of manufacturing leadership required
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experienced in Food environment desired.
