Job summary

Ranger Design in Webster, NY is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations. You will manage a team of production operators, monitor staffing and machine utilization, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include coaching, problem solving, coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, and driving continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma practices. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred in manufacturing/engineering.
• 3-7+ years manufacturing/production experience.
• 2+ years supervisory or team lead experience in production.
• Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma assets.
• Experience with production KPIs (OEE, throughput, scrap reduction).
• Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to read schedules, SOPs, and technical docs; strong communication.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, or extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, and efficiency targets.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production operators.
• Monitor workflow, staffing, and machine utilization to optimize productivity.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
• Conduct safety meetings, audits, and investigations; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and logistics for smooth operations.
• Analyze production data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure product quality via SOPs and QC processes.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback.
• Manage shift schedules, attendance, and labor allocation.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and maintain production records.
• Support inventory control and material flow; drive cost reduction.
• Other duties as assigned.
