Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Team Leader I to support production leads and supervisors in day-to-day manufacturing activities, ensuring on-time delivery to customers at our Bolingbrook, IL facility. You will train team members, troubleshoot production challenges with cross-functional teams, manage MRO inventories, and drive continuous improvement.

JD Edwards knowledge and basic to intermediate computer skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required or preferred.
• Must understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Able to read drawings, bills of materials and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading employees within an area of responsibility on a variety of processes and operations.
• Assist in the training and development of production team members.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production challenges with operations and cross-functional teams.
• Manage MRO inventories and requisition shop supplies and tools to minimize disruptions.
• Support and implement improvements to standard production work processes.
• Coordinate delivery of parts and manage NCRs with corrective actions when needed.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with warehouse and purchasing staff.
• Assist material handlers in daily tasks and support continuous improvement projects.
