G&W Electric Co. in the United States seeks a Team Leader I to support Production Leads and Supervisors in daily management, ensuring on-time delivery of products and services. You will train staff, resolve production challenges, and manage inventories with a focus on continuous improvement.

The role requires manufacturing experience, strong communication, and teamwork. JD Edwards experience and ability to read drawings are preferred.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with motivation and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of ERP or MRP systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and follow-up abilities.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
• Able to read/interpret drawings and BOMs and work instructions.
• Experience with JD Edwards software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading employees within an area of responsibility across processes and operations.
• Assist in training and development of production team members.
• Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
• Manage MRO inventories and requisition shop supplies and tools to prevent disruptions.
• Support improvements to standard production work processes and implement with Training Support Coordinator.
• Evaluate demand of parts and coordinate delivery.
• Work with team to manage and close NCRs and initiate corrective actions.
• Investigate missing parts; cycle count; reconcile inventory; coordinate with warehouse and purchasing.
• Investigate work order and inventory discrepancies to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Assist material handlers in daily tasks.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization.
