Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Team Lead II for our Bolingbrook, IL manufacturing facility. You will lead a team across various processes, assign work, ensure quality and safety, and coordinate resources to keep production flowing and on time.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, interpreting drawings, using MS Word/Excel and ERP, and driving corrective actions. Applicants should have 4+ years in manufacturing and prior leadership experience. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to supervise and coordinate activities within a department with diverse tasks and demanding schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and schematics and explain to others.
• Intermediate computer skills in MS Word and Excel; ERP experience desirable.
• Understand and apply elements of corrective and preventive actions.
• 4+ years experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading a team is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing employees within an area of responsibility on a variety of processes and operations.
• Assign work and instruct operators on work techniques, quality and safety procedures.
• Check and arrange for availability of materials, tools and fixtures.
• Perform direct labor and other functions to maintain workflow and on-time completion.
• Audit work to ensure quality compliance and pass only if requirements met.
• Evaluate team member performance with supervisor support.
• Perform supervisory tasks with supervisor backing.
• Conduct internal process audits and report findings.
• Analyze materials, processes and products to prevent production disruptions.
• Assist with production posting and inventory accuracy within the cell.
• Communicate BOM discrepancies to Engineering.
• Conserve resources and assist with training on inspection tasks.
• Document actions through production and quality forms.
