FreshDirect is seeking a Team Lead to support daily production operations on the Bronx-based production floor, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to Quality, Food Safety, and Safety standards. This frontline leader will coach, direct, and support hourly team members while meeting operational goals and customer commitments.

The role emphasizes coaching, staffing, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to develop leadership skills within a fast-paced Grocer environment.

Formación

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead teams with respect, accountability, and professionalism.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to hold team members accountable for attendance, productivity, quality, and performance standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with warehouse, production, or inventory management systems.
• Ability to navigate operational systems and dashboards to manage workflow and performance.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support daily production operations to ensure productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Promote and enforce compliance with Food Safety, Sanitation (GMPs), Employee Health & Safety, and company policies.
• Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, organized, and audit-ready.
• Monitor order fulfillment, processing, and production activities to maintain operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Supervisors and Managers to resolve production and workflow challenges.
• Provide coaching, training, and ongoing development to hourly team members.
• Address routine team member concerns, conflicts, and performance issues, escalating matters when appropriate.
• Manage attendance and staffing needs, reallocating resources to maintain operational continuity.
• Execute operating plans and departmental priorities established by leadership.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and elevate significant concerns as needed.
• Support company initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Follow up on action items and ensure food safety and employee safety remain top priorities.
• Train team members on processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Perform production duties alongside team members as required.
