Job summary

Wistron Infocomm Usa Corporation in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee SMT/DIP lines and the Material Preparation Area. You will ensure production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety and 6S practices are followed.

Responsibilities include leading a team, training operators, coordinating with planning, QA, and engineering, and driving continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean and Kaizen to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have understanding of SMT/DIP/MPA processes and equipment.
• Experience with IPC-A-610 quality standards is a plus.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time completion of work orders.
• Lead and coach production staff; conduct performance evaluations and training.
• Coordinate with planning and engineering to resolve material or process issues.
• Identify and implement Lean/Kaizen improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Position SummaryResponsible for overseeing the daily operations of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Dual In-line Package (DIP) production lines. This role ensures that production schedules are met, quality standards are upheld, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction OversightSupervise SMT/DIP line and/or Material Preparation Area (MPA) operations including setup, run, and shutdown.Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of work orders on-time.Ensuring the production WIP quantity and its aging is within the target.Coordinate with planning and engineering teams to resolve material or process issues.Team LeadershipLead and motivate production staff to meet daily goals.Ensures that production operators and leaders are trained on equipment, processes, and safety.Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.Form and Lead the Production department’s M360 dialogue meeting.Process & Equipment ManagementEnsures that the production line readiness by coordinating with the support departments such as PMC, PSE, QA, PME, TC, etc.Escalate issues affecting the production line efficiency, quality and productivity.Quality & ComplianceEnforce quality standards including IPC-A-610 and ISO relatedReview real time quality yield reports and escalates to the related department for support.Ensure traceability and documentation compliance.Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.Participate in Lean and Kaizen initiatives.Track and analyze production issues and drive root cause resolution.Safety & 5SMaintain a clean and organized work environment.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and 6S principles.Address and document safety concerns promptly.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, business administration, or related fields.Minimum 4+ years in a manufacturing environment setting with 2 years minimum in a leadership role.Knowledge of SMT/DIP/MPA processes and equipment.Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.Six Sigma certification is a plus.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
