Mack Technologies Cd. Juárez is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Massachusetts, Westford, to direct the operations team and optimize processes to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.

You will coordinate with planning, quality, engineering, and program management to maintain staffing, perform capacity analyses, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and familiarity with ISO9001 and IPC standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing, high-volume or SMT manufacturing preferred.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC Standards preferred.
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement background; Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • US Person as defined in 22 CRF Part 120.15 due to ITAR data.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the production schedule based on the MRP.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to continually improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.
  • Ensure the department is properly staffed to hit delivery/productivity goals.
  • Meet customer demand by scheduling staff and equipment.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations to achieve accurate direct labor staffing levels.
  • Work with engineering to provide procedures and training to employees.
  • Maintain production capacity vs. demand and analyze labor efficiency data.
  • Analyze daily operating reports and shift resources as needed.
  • Assist in training Operations teams on processes.
  • Maintain daily management systems and participate in Gemba activities.
  • Ensure equipment PMs are up to date.
  • Participate on NPI teams and support startup of new processes.
  • Drive cross-functional resolution of manufacturing issues.
  • Prepare work-in-process status reports.
  • Support capital equipment requests and purchases.
  • Develop product knowledge for discussions on availability and quality.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis (5 Whys) for unstable processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Other duties as needed.

Continually optimize processes to predictably produce existing customers' products ensuring cost, quality and delivery goals are achieved. Reports to the Operations Manager.

  • Plan and execute the production schedule based on the MRP.
  • Work with Planners/Production Control, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Program Managers and other members of cross-functional team to continually improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity.

  • Conducts root cause analysis (5 Why's) to determine reasons for unstable processes and develops corrective action with cross-functional team.
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Employee development and performance assessment in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Provide direct supervision to all levels and disciplines assigned to specific production lines.
  • Interpret company policies for workers, enforce safety regulations, and maintain housekeeping guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Must be available for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm - 11:30pm) with some OT required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment; high-volume, system level, mechanical assembly and/or SMT manufacturing preferred.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC Standards preferred.
  • Intermediate business tools/ applications knowledge (i.e. Email, Excel, MS Word, etc.)
  • Experience in a variety of technical disciplines and product technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with organizational and time-management skills.
  • Background in Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies; Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
  • Ability to motivate employees and build a strong "team" atmosphere.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross functional groups.
