Job summary

AMETEK Inc.'s Universal Analyzers seeks a hands-on Production Supervisor for our Carson City, NV facility to lead daily machining, assembly, and shipping operations. You will convert monthly plans into daily priorities, develop staff, and drive quality, safety and on-time delivery using ERP data and Lean methods.

The role requires 5+ years manufacturing with supervision, strong problem-solving, and ability to interpret technical drawings; experience with Power BI/ERP and a willingness to explore

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
• Five+ years manufacturing experience with at least two years in supervision.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and BOMs.
• Experience with machining, fabrication, assembly, inspection, and quality controls.
• ERP experience with Excel and Power BI or production dashboards.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to use AI tools to boost productivity and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Production, Shipping and Receiving teams with focus on safety, quality and productivity.
• Prioritize work based on capacity, materials and business needs.
• Support hiring, onboarding, performance mgmt, scheduling and training.
• Convert production requirements into daily schedules and coordinate resources.
• Oversee daily production, addressing staffing, material, quality and constraints.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing and Customer Service.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturing, inspection, testing, and documentation standards.
• Handle nonconforming material and drive corrective actions and root-cause analysis.
• Manage shipping, receiving, inventory transactions and ERP data accuracy.
• Drive Lean initiatives and continuous improvement and monitor performance.
• Performs other duties as needed.
