Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to guide production teams in safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coordinate cross-functional activities, monitor KPIs, and drive Lean improvements across shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management.
• 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification a plus.
• Labor Relations experience.
• Lean environment experience; embraces continuous improvement.
• Self-directed team player; excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and training to accomplish production objectives for Safety, Quality, Production, Packaging, and Maintenance.
• Coordinates production activities with other departments to achieve goals in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Manages vacancies coverage with the operations team for planned/unplanned scenarios.
• Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards.
• Enters production data into systems to measure KPIs around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and overall production.
• Updates communication boards to inform the floor about safety, quality and efficiency metrics.
• Leads employee start-up meetings.
• Collaborates to improve efficiencies, minimize overtime, downtime, and repair costs.
• Implements cost-effective systems as needed.
• Promotes 5S and shop floor organization with shift personnel.
• Acts as primary contact for operators regarding mechanical issues; directs maintenance for troubleshooting.
• Performs tool store inventory reviews to ensure availability of tools/parts.
• Prepares and reviews worked hours for payroll submission.
