Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is hiring a Production Supervisor in Georgia to lead safety, quality and production objectives across shifts. You will coordinate with multiple departments to meet goals efficiently and train the team to sustain high performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management and at least 3 years of supervisory manufacturing experience. Six Sigma certification is a plus, with lean principles and strong problem-solving skills valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management
• 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification a plus
• Labor Relations experience
• Experience in Lean environment; Embraces continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and training to accomplish production objectives for safety, quality, production, packaging, and maintenance
• Coordinates production activities with other departments to meet goals cost-effectively
• Manages staffing coverage for planned/unplanned vacancies with operations team
• Establishes and monitors shift performance for safety, quality, and production standards
• Enters production data to measure KPIs around efficiencies, downtime, inventory, and production
• Updates communication boards to inform floor teams about safety, quality and efficiency metrics
• Leads employee start-up meetings
• Works to improve efficiencies and minimize overtime, downtime and repair costs
• Promotes shop floor organization and lean 5S practices
• Acts as first point of contact for operators on mechanical failures; directs maintenance to troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance
• Prepares and reviews worked hours for payroll
