Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a shift in our manufacturing operations. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency, while coaching team members to reach their full potential on the shop floor. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience in steel manufacturing.
• Associate degree or technical degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Knowledge of GMPs and safety standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on the shop floor most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise assigned personnel on shifts and coach for growth.
• Oversee employee relations, safety, quality, efficiency, training, and environment.
• Prepare shift by coordinating with the previous shift and scheduling production on machines.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate plant goals to associates.
• Prepare daily production and maintenance-related reports.
• Support and enforce safety policies to promote a ZERO HARM environment.
• Maintain a strong shop floor presence (≈70%) and assist with operator duties as needed.
