Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee the production floor, ensuring safe and efficient operation and high-quality output. You will coach and develop employees through on-the-spot feedback and annual reviews, while enforcing safety policies and procedures.

Key duties include monitoring production levels, making quality control decisions, investigating incidents, and approving timecards and time-off requests.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of machines including their limitations.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements.
• Ability to accurately use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read and understand material tags and production instructions.
• Ability to correctly retrieve and input data in a computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Critical thinking skill.
