Job summary

Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp is seeking a production supervisor in Wichita, KS. You will oversee the full production process, track yields, adjust operations in real time, and ensure USDA safety standards are met. You will lead hourly employees, drive safety, and maintain high quality while communicating clearly across shifts.

You will train and motivate your team, manage line meetings, and work to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime, with occasional long hours and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination.
• Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring staff.
• Strong oral and written communication for problem solving.
• Proven ability to motivate and develop a team while maintaining safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production processes and yield tracking to meet targets.
• Enforce safety and HACCP/USDA standards on the floor.
• Lead daily operations and monthly line meetings; coach hourly staff.
• Analyze yields, efficiencies and variances to improve workflows and reduce downtime.
• Coordinate equipment setup and routine maintenance to sustain peak performance.
