Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent shop scheduling experience.
• Proficiency in production scheduling software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to optimize workflow, machine utilization and meet delivery deadlines.
• Analyze machine shop capacity and workload to forecast production needs and adjust schedules for changes in demand or delays.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods; ensure timely procurement to prevent interruptions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
• Serve as primary contact between machine shop and other departments; communicate schedule changes effectively.
• Maintain records of production schedules, inventory levels, and machine shop activities.
• Address and resolve issues during production; develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
